About Me

For more than five decades, I have dedicated my life to serving others through military service, public safety, business leadership, and community involvement.

Immediately after graduating from high school, I enlisted in the United States Army, where I proudly served for three years with the 25th Infantry Division as a Crash Rescue Specialist assigned to an Air Assault Unit. Following my honorable discharge, I began my career in the fire service with the federal government before joining the City of Hayward Fire Department.

Throughout my career with the Hayward Fire Department, I advanced through the ranks to Battalion Chief. During my tenure, I developed the department's Hazardous Materials Response Team in partnership with the San Leandro and Union City Fire Departments. I also created the department's policy and directive system along with developing and implemented a comprehensive employee evaluation program. I also, authored two Wildland-Urban Interface Emergency Management Plans following my response to the devastating Oakland Hills Fire. While serving as a firefighter, I attended the University of California, Berkeley, where I graduate with honors.

After retiring from the Hayward Fire Department, I founded Bay Area Safety, a construction safety consulting company that combined my extensive public safety experience with my California General B Contractor's License. I successfully operated the company until last year, when my son assumed leadership of the business.

Over the years, I had the privilege of providing safety consulting services on some of the nation's most recognizable construction projects, including the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco, Apple Park in Cupertino, Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, the Chase Center in San Francisco, Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, the Wilshire Grand Center in Los Angeles, and restoration work at the Pentagon following the September 11 terrorist attacks, along with many other major projects throughout the United States.

As a proud military veteran, I remain committed to serving my community. I am an Executive Board Member of American Legion Post #775 in Loomis, where I currently serve as Co-Chairman of the Loomis Independence Day Parade and the American Legion Loomis Employee of the Year Program. This year, I am also honored to Co-Chair the Town of Loomis 25th Anniversary September 11 Memorial Ceremony. Giving back to the community that has welcomed my family has become one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Family has always been the foundation of everything I do. My wife, Annette, and I are celebrating nearly 50 years of marriage. She has been my high school sweetheart and my partner throughout life's journey. Together, we have raised two sons who have followed careers in public service—one serving as a Fire Captain/Paramedic and the other as a Police Sergeant. We are also blessed with four wonderful grandchildren who remind us every day why preserving strong communities matters.

As a candidate for the Loomis Town Council, I am committed to preserving the town's unique rural character while planning responsibly for future generations. My priorities include supporting exceptional public safety, strengthen our schools, protecting private property rights, supporting local businesses, encouraging responsible and well-planned growth, improving quality infrastructure, and ensuring transparent, accountable, and fiscally responsible government.

I believe the best decisions are made by listening to residents, respecting Loomis' rich history, and working together to preserve the values that make our town such a special place to live, work, and raise a family.
